Preparing for Winter
Animals prepare for winter in a variety of ways. Some animals migrate, some get new fur coats,
some hibernate and some store food to last through the winter. Animal Embassy will help children
to define and understand terms such as hibernation, migration, brumation and adaptation while we
will explore the ways in which different animals prepare for the challenges of the winter season.
Families will meet a diversity Animal Ambassadors such as a Rabbit, Ferrets, an African Bullfrog,
South American Chinchillas, an Axolotl, a Duck and more!
Join Animal Embassy and incredible live Animal Ambassadors for this interactive, educational and
entertaining presentation. Families will meet a diversity of animals from around the world,
representing numerous habitats and reflecting the amazing diversity of life. We’ll discover how
important each animal is to its habitat, and learn about the tools they use as we get eyeball-to-
eyeball with Animal Ambassadors such as South American Chinchillas, Australian White’s Tree frogs,
an Argentine Black & White Tegu, a Dumeril’s Boa from Madagascar, and an African Sulcata
Tortoise. We’ll learn about the Ambassador’s diverse habitats as well as the challenges they face
and have opportunities for some hands-on time. Animal Embassy enables people of all ages to
connect with the natural world with this unforgettable, live animal presentation!
